Terms of Service

Updated: 30.07.2026

1. General Provisions

These Terms of Service govern access to the website and the provision of professional photo retouching and post-production services. By using the website or commissioning services, you confirm your full acceptance of these terms.

2. Scope of Services and Specifications

I provide professional post-production services for commercial, advertising, fashion, beauty, and still life/product photography (including people, cosmetics, jewelry, accessories, and packaging).

  • Standard retouching scope: Includes professional surface cleanup (skin microtexture, hair, fabrics, as well as the removal of dust, micro-scratches, mold seams, and unwanted reflections on glass, metal, gemstones, and packaging); volume and shape sculpting (Dodge & Burn, highlight and sheen rendering); adjustment of geometry, shape, and symmetry; tonal balancing and color correction within the original frame.
  • Compositing and complex image manipulation (quoted separately): Tasks involving multi-exposure blending, complete background replacement, radical color swaps, digital re-typesetting of labels/logos, drawing missing elements from scratch, or substantial anatomical reshaping fall into the category of complex editing (compositing), require a separate brief, and are quoted individually.

3. Pricing and Payment

Each project is quoted individually based on an analysis of the source files and the creative brief.

  • Production commences after the quote is approved and a deposit is received (unless other terms have been agreed upon in writing).
  • Payment is made via the agreed method (bank wire, electronic payment services). Any payment gateway or processing fees are covered by the client.

4. Turnaround, File Delivery, and Display Calibration

  • Turnaround times: Deadlines are agreed upon prior to the start of work, taking into account the complexity and volume of the shoot.
  • Delivery format: Final images are delivered in high-resolution digital format (TIFF / JPEG / PNG) in flattened form via a secure cloud storage link. The link validity and cloud file storage period is 30 calendar days.
  • Layered working files (PSD / PSB): The transfer of layered project files containing all adjustment layers represents the transfer of proprietary know-how and is agreed upon separately for an additional fee.
  • Color accuracy and calibration: All post-production is performed on professional equipment with regular hardware calibration in sRGB / Adobe RGB color spaces. Color discrepancies resulting from viewing on uncalibrated client screens or enabled adaptive display filters (True Tone, Night Shift, etc.) are not defects of the work and do not constitute grounds for free revisions.

5. Revisions Policy

  • The cost of each project includes up to 2 rounds of revisions that strictly align with the originally approved brief.
  • Revisions that contradict the initial brief, fundamentally alter the approved concept, or exceed the 2-round limit are billed separately.

6. Copyright, Intellectual Property, and Portfolio

  • Source material warranties: The client warrants that they hold all necessary copyrights and model releases for the submitted source photographs and indemnifies the retoucher against any third-party claims.
  • Transfer of usage rights: All proprietary rights to the use, publication, and commercial distribution of the retouched materials transfer to the client exclusively upon full (100%) payment for the services. Any public use of the materials prior to full settlement is strictly prohibited.
  • Portfolio and embargo: I reserve the right to display completed works (including the interactive "before / after" format) in my portfolio and professional social media. The publication of commercial and editorial shoots is carried out strictly after their official release by the client. If your project requires full, indefinite confidentiality (NDA), this must be agreed upon prior to the start of work.
  • Website content and intellectual property: All materials published on this website, including blog articles, technical breakdowns, portfolio imagery, and interactive before / after comparison sliders, are the exclusive intellectual property of the author. Any reproduction, distribution, quotation, or republishing of these materials without clear authorship credit and a direct, clickable link to this website is strictly prohibited.

7. Cancellation and Postponement

The client may cancel an order prior to the actual start of work - in this case, the deposit amount is refunded in full (less banking and transaction fees). If work on the images has already begun, the payment is retained proportionally based on the volume of work actually completed.

8. Limitation of Liability

I guarantee high quality of post-production within the technical capabilities of the provided material. The retoucher bears no responsibility for photographic technical defects (critical defocus, severe camera shake, extreme digital noise, or clipped highlights/shadows) that are physically impossible to eliminate using retouching techniques without loss of quality.

9. Amendments and Validity of Terms

I reserve the right to periodically modify these Terms to reflect updates in workflow processes, service offerings, or legal requirements. The current version of the document is always available on this page, indicating the date of the latest revision. Continued use of the website or placing new orders following the publication of changes signifies your full acceptance of the updated Terms.
